What is Purr Frequency?
Long recordings of two real cats purring, made at home for sleep, focus and calm. No music, no narration, no synthesised sound.
How are the purrs recorded?
At home, at night, when Alani and Monster are actually settled. Takes get cleaned up and joined together with soft crossfades to make a full-length session.
Can I request a type of session?
Yes, and we would like you to. Use the form above and tell us what would help — rain, fireplace, a longer one for sleeping through.
Does purring actually heal you?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is a real claim behind that idea, and we traced it back to a single conference abstract from 2001. The whole story is on our science page.
How can I support Purr Frequency?
